Preamble: noun; a preliminary statement, especially the introduction to a formal document that serves to explain its purpose
Ex. The preamble in the constitution begins with the famous words…. “We the people of the United States of America.”

Concise: adjective; expressed briefly and simply.
Ex. Less than a pay long the Bill of Rights is a concise statement of the freedoms enjoyed by all Americans.

Abridge: verb; to shorten, to reduce.
